The MaSeR Recovery Process simplifies qualifying your products for EPEAT© certification!

EPEAT© the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool, is a product certification program that helps institutional purchasers evaluate, compare and select desktop computers, notebooks and monitors based on their environmental attributes. EPEAT also provides a clear and consistent set of performance criteria for the design of products, and provides an opportunity for manufacturers to secure market recognition for efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its products.

MaSeR makes getting products EPEAT© certified easier!

The EPEAT© standard includes both required and optional End of Life and Design for Recyclability criteria that a product must meet in order to become EPEAT© certified. To qualify for acceptance as an EPEAT© product, it must conform to all the required criteria. Manufacturers may pick and choose among the optional criteria to boost their EPEAT© baseline "score" to achieve a higher-ranking level for their products. Here's how MaSeR's unique process can help:
  • End of Life Criteria

Section 4.6.1.1. (Required): Manufacturer must have a product take-back program that meets the USEPA's Plug-In To eCycling guidelines (http://www.epa.gov/epaoswer/osw/conserve/plugin/).

    MaSeR meets all criteria.

Section 4.6.1.2. (Optional): An annual audit is performed on all 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier facilities ensuring compliance with Plug-In To eCycling guidelines and all applicable regulations.
MaSeR is the final stop for electronic scrap recovery, eliminating auditing of multiple tiers of downstream vendors

  • Design for Recycling Criteria

Section 4.3.1.2. (Required): Manufacturer must eliminate paints or coatings that are not compatible with recycling including metal coatings.
The MaSeR process delaminates coatings from materials for complete recovery.

Section 4.3.1.7. (Optional): Molded/glued in metal eliminated or removable.
Molded or glued in metals are no challenge for the MaSeR process, allowing designers of electronic products more flexibility.

Section 4.3.1.8. (Required): Minimum 65% of the product must be reusable or recyclable.
MaSeR recovers 100% of the materials put into electronic products!

Section 4.3.1.9. (Optional): Minimum 90% of the product must be reusable or recyclable.
MaSeR recovers 100% of the materials put into electronic products!

What you put into your products... we deliver back
The sustainability you desire, the value you demand

MaSeR's proprietary combination of material preparation, delamination, and separation technologies enable us to deliver more effective results. And, we've got the data to prove it. Product destruction is essential for securing proprietary technology and assuring that obsolete equipment does not re-enter the market.

To assure absolute destruction, our process reduces electronic products into fractions less than 4 mm, but it doesn't stop there.

MaSeR works with electronic recyclers servicing OEMs to
  • Cut demanufacturing costs in half
  • Dramatically reduce refining charges
  • Free up facility space
  • Deliver more renewable resources such as:
    • Aluminum
    • Copper
    • Plastic
    • Steel
    • Precious metals
We can help your recycler compare the costs and profitability of your current program vs. the MaSeR Recovery Process.

Other Product Applications:

The MaSeR Recovery Process is not limited to just electronic components. Our process can liberate material from a variety of laminated products for total, economical recovery:
  • Laminated plastic auto parts
  • Blister packaging
  • Bottle caps
  • Other material composites
Effective, economical domestic recovery is now a reality with the MaSeR Recovery Process. If your company is looking for a better way to deal with end-of-life electronic scrap or other laminated materials contact us....
