Executive Bios
Michael Magliaro Executive Vice President and COO Mike Magliaro has over 36 years experience in various engineering, sales, and marketing positions with 20 years specifically in electronics recycling. Mike founded and grew two successful electronics asset management and recycling companies prior to co-founding MaSeR. Mike was aware of delamination technologies employed in Europe to liberate various composite materials. When he learned advanced recovery technology for composite materials being developed in Europe in the early 2000’s, he traveled to Europe to determine if this technology could enhance material recovery from shredded e-scrap. With his engineering expertise and background in traditional shredding of e-scrap, he worked with a team of designers and engineers to develop the MaSeR system. With his background in demanufacturing and shredding of electronic scrap, Mike now consults with electronics recyclers helping them understand how MaSeR's material recovery process can add significant efficiency and value to their businesses. Lauren Roman Executive Vice President One of the most recognized leaders in electronic recycling, Lauren Roman is Executive Vice President of MaSeR Corporation. Lauren has over 25 years experience in solid and hazardous waste management and recycling and has been active in electronics recycling for 14 years. A graduate of the University of West Virginia, Lauren holds a degree in Environmental Sciences. She works closely with electronic recyclers, OEMs, non-governmental organizations and government agencies toward developing and instituting environmentally sound management practices for recycling electronics. Having done work for Mike’s earlier ventures, Mike approached Lauren in early 2003 with the concept of the MaSeR Recovery Process and she was intrigued. At the time, she was Vice President of Marketing for one of the largest e-recyclers in the U.S. and previously ran her own consulting company providing business development services to emerging electronics recycling companies. Recognizing that MaSeR offered a unique solution that could make accountable, domestic recycling more competitive, Lauren joined MaSeR in April of 2005 anxious to bring MaSeR's advanced recovery and data destruction technology to recyclers throughout North America. |
